YAM & YAP – RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At Yam & Yap, we are committed to supplying quality products and maintaining transparent business practices. As our products are food ingredients supplied primarily for commercial and business use, the following Return & Refund Policy applies.

1. General Policy

All sales are final.

Due to the nature of food and ingredient products, we generally do not accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, or refunds once an order has been processed, dispatched, delivered, or accepted by the customer.

Any exception to this policy shall be subject to review and approval by Yam & Yap at its sole discretion.


2. Return Eligibility

Returns may only be considered under exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Product received is materially different from the confirmed order;

  • Product arrives visibly damaged during transit;

  • Product is determined to be defective upon receipt;

  • Incorrect product shipped by Yam & Yap.

To be eligible for review, customers must provide a clear, uninterrupted video recording of the package from its sealed condition through the complete unboxing and inspection process.

Claims submitted without a complete unboxing video will not be eligible for review and may be rejected.

Any return request remains subject to approval by Yam & Yap.


3. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers are responsible for inspecting all products immediately upon receipt.

Any claim regarding damage, shortages, defects, or discrepancies must be submitted in writing within three (3) business days of delivery.

Failure to report an issue within this timeframe shall constitute acceptance of the product in its delivered condition.


4. Return Authorization

No product may be returned without prior written authorization from Yam & Yap.

Unauthorized returns may be refused, rejected, or disposed of without compensation or credit.

Approval of a return request does not guarantee issuance of store credit and remains subject to inspection upon receipt.


5. Non-Returnable Products

The following items are not eligible for return, replacement, refund, or store credit:

  • Opened products;

  • Partially used products;

  • Products stored, handled, or transported improperly after delivery;

  • Sample products;

  • Special-order or custom-order products;

  • Products affected by customer processing or manufacturing activities;

  • Products returned without prior authorization;

  • Products for which no complete unboxing video is provided.


6. Store Credit

Yam & Yap does not provide cash refunds.

If a claim is approved, Yam & Yap may, at its sole discretion, issue store credit equal to all or part of the approved claim value.

Store credit is the sole remedy available under this policy.

Store credit:

  • May be applied toward future purchases from Yam & Yap;

  • Is non-transferable unless otherwise approved by Yam & Yap;

  • Has no cash value;

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash, bank transfer, credit card reimbursement, or any other monetary payment.

No cash refunds shall be provided under any circumstances unless required by applicable law.


7. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, handling fees, customs duties, taxes, insurance costs, and related expenses associated with approved returns.

Return shipments must be authorized by Yam & Yap before dispatch.

Store credit, if approved, will only be issued after the returned product has been received and inspected by Yam & Yap.


8. Incorrect Addresses, Failed Deliveries & Customs

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information.

Orders returned due to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping information;

  • Failed delivery attempts;

  • Refusal of delivery;

  • Failure to respond to courier requests;

  • Failure to pay applicable duties, taxes, or customs charges;

  • Failure to clear customs requirements;

shall not qualify for refunds, replacements, or store credit.


9. Limitation of Liability

Yam & Yap shall not be responsible for:

  • Customer dissatisfaction based on taste, preference, expectation, or intended use;

  • Product performance within a customer's formulation, manufacturing process, or commercial application;

  • Improper storage, handling, or transportation after delivery;

  • Delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, weather events, regulatory actions, or circumstances beyond our control;

  • Loss of profits, business interruption, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, or consequential damages.

Customers remain solely responsible for conducting their own testing and determining product suitability for their intended use.


10. Right to Refuse Claims

Yam & Yap reserves the right to reject any claim where:

  • A complete unboxing video is not provided;

  • The claim is submitted outside the required reporting period;

  • Supporting evidence is insufficient;

  • The product has been opened, altered, repackaged, processed, or improperly stored;

  • The product is returned without prior authorization;

  • The claim falls outside the scope of this policy.

The decision of Yam & Yap regarding return eligibility, store credit value, and claim approval shall be final.


11. Policy Updates

Yam & Yap reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this Return & Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.

The most current version shall always be available on this website.
